She walked away from the rodeo, disappointed again at being chosen as Rodeo Princess rather than the coveted title of Rodeo Queen. Melancholy is written on her face as she leads her horse back to the stable. Originally a photograph, I have printed this image several times as a cyanotype in various sizes and exposures and using different methods to tone the image beyond the original blue. For this piece, I have combined many of the "discard" prints, some as torn pieces, into one cohesive work that tells her story.
