Collage Cousin Frankie

My friend and fellow artist Renee Lanier recently retired from painting. She gifted me all of her supplies. Included were several 11 x 14 giclee canvas and prints. In honor of this event, and with her permission I gessoed 4 giclees, secured them with a recycled lobster trap piece for stability, and created 2 11 x 28 canvases. I then painted a backdrop for two flamingos. The flamingos are created as a collage, all from her prints. The wings and the tail of the flamingos are dimensional, as they are attached with double sided tape. There is no frame on this piece, the edges are painted. (As a pair they can be sold at $750)

There is no frame for these pieces. The edges are painted. They have 'feathers' that extend off the canvas edge.
